Maruby Byarlay-McQueen, LMSW (she/her)

Therapist | Emotion Regulation & Anxiety Support | Compassionate & Collaborative Care

Maruby believes that meaningful change begins with acceptance, not perfection. Guided by the understanding that growth often unfolds when we meet ourselves with compassion, she works with clients who feel overwhelmed by intense emotions, burdened by shame, or caught in cycles of anxiety that feel difficult to break. Together, she helps clients gently explore what lies beneath these patterns while building awareness, emotional regulation, and self-compassion along the way.
Maruby works with teens and adults seeking support for a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, mood challenges, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while maintaining flexibility and creativity in her work. She believes the most effective therapy is individualized and shaped around what best supports each client.
Her therapeutic style is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and paced to meet clients where they are. Maruby walks alongside each person with care and respect, supporting them as they navigate challenges and move toward greater balance, insight, and self-understanding.
If this approach resonates with you, Maruby would be honored to connect and explore how you can work together on your healing journey.
