Marc Houser, Clinical Intern (he/him)

Therapy Intern | Trauma-Informed & Veteran-Affirming Care

Lawrence, KS
Marc is a second-year Master of Social Work student at the University of Kansas and an Air Force veteran. Originally from Kansas City, he has made Lawrence his home for the past six years. Marc brings a steady, thoughtful presence to the therapy space, shaped by both his clinical training and his lived experience in military and civilian life.
Marc is deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. His areas of interest include trauma-informed care, veteran and military mental health, and supporting individuals through life transitions. He approaches therapy with warmth and authenticity, listening closely and holding space in a way that fosters trust, safety, and connection.
In addition to his clinical work, Marc is a professional musician and values creativity, emotional expression, and meaning-making as powerful tools for healing. This creative sensibility informs the way he connects with clients and supports them in exploring their inner world with curiosity and openness.
Marc offers reduced-rate and pro bono sessions as part of his internship. He is grateful to be clinically supervised by Anissa Pfannenstiel, LSCSW, and is dedicated to ongoing growth as a compassionate, thoughtful clinician.
