Linda Hoopes, LSCSW

Therapist | Clinical Supervisor | LGBTQIA+ Affirming | Supporting Youth & Adults

Linda offers a calm, steady, and supportive presence for clients navigating life’s most challenging moments. Whether someone is overwhelmed by strong emotions, facing a major life decision, or watching a child or teen struggle to express their pain, Linda provides a compassionate space where people can speak openly and feel deeply understood.
With experience working with clients ages 10 through adulthood, Linda is especially attuned to the needs of adolescents and their families. She is also a long-standing LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who understands the unique challenges faced by this community and strives to offer a safe, validating environment for all identities.
Linda draws from trauma-informed practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients explore their experiences and uncover new ways of approaching life’s challenges. Since opening her private practice in downtown Lawrence in 2009, she has helped countless individuals find stability, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction.
Known for her gentle and laid-back presence, Linda meets each client exactly where they are. She listens closely to their story, collaborates on meaningful goals, and walks beside them as they create the changes they want to see in their life.
As a clinical supervisor at Mind & Body Healing Collective, Linda also supports the growth and development of emerging therapists, offering her wisdom, groundedness, and decades of experience to the next generation of clinicians.
