Susan Weimer, PhD, LSCSW (she/her)

Therapist | Integrative & Insight-Oriented | Mindfulness-Based Support

Susan brings a thoughtful, steady, and deeply informed presence to her work with clients. Originally trained in psychodynamic therapy, human development, ego psychology, and systems theory, her approach has evolved into an integrative style shaped by decades of clinical experience and a deep respect for each person’s capacity for growth and change.
Susan believes that meaningful transformation occurs when individuals are supported in understanding themselves more fully and given practical tools to work with life’s challenges. She draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive therapy, strengths-based work, mindfulness, breath practices, psychoeducation, solution-focused strategies, and brief therapy. Her work is collaborative and empowering, helping clients build insight while also developing skills that support balance, resilience, and self-trust.
She works primarily with individual adults ages 22 and older, including older adults, and specializes in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship concerns, and the unique emotional and practical challenges that can accompany aging. Susan approaches this work with sensitivity and respect, honoring each person’s life experience and evolving sense of identity.
Susan encourages clients to use the emotions and challenges of their lives as opportunities for growth—cultivating greater confidence, clarity, and self-understanding rather than feeling defined or overwhelmed by difficulty. She offers a grounded, reflective partnership that supports clients in using the energy of their challenges to move forward with intention and balance.
